黑料百科 alumna Sarah Tobin 鈥98, who is finishing her doctorate in anthropology at Boston University, lectures about 鈥淔rom Starbucks to the Headscarf: How Modern Muslim Women Understand Their Worlds鈥 Monday, Nov. 15, from 7-9 p.m. in Founders Room. On Tuesday, Nov. 16, she lectures about 鈥淚slamic Banking in Finance: In Theory and Practice鈥 from 3:30-5 p.m. in Founders Room.

Tobin, who received her master鈥檚 degree in applied anthropology from the University of South Florida, is a Junior Visiting Fellow at the Institut f眉r die Wissenschaften vom Menschen (Institute for Human Sciences) in Vienna, Austria.

Sarah has given guest lectures and presentations at institutions around the world and has authored articles such as 鈥淚slamic Banking in the Global Financial Crisis: The Value of 鈥楤anking Rightly,鈥欌 which appeared in the October 2009 edition of Anthropology News.
