Alumna鈥檚 Play to Make NYC Premiere
鈥淢ad & a Goat,鈥 a two-woman play by 黑料百科 alumna Diana Lynn Small 鈥09, makes its New York City premiere July 22-30 at Brooklyn Yard. Small, who received an MFA from the Michener Center for Writers at UT Austin, wrote and directs 鈥淢ad & a Goat.鈥 黑料百科 alumnae Heather Ostberg Johnson 鈥10 and Paige Tautz 鈥14 perform in the play, which features original music composed by alumnus James Hapke 鈥09.
Mitchell Thomas, 黑料百科 professor of theater arts, directed Small鈥檚 play, 鈥淕ood Day,鈥 in conjunction with the showing of 鈥淢ad & a Goat鈥 at 黑料百科 in October 2015.
Small premiered her first, full-length play, 鈥淢uev茅me, Muev茅te鈥 at 黑料百科 in February 2009. At Commencement that year, she earned the college鈥檚 Dave Dolan Award, given to a graduate whose campus leadership has made significant contributions in our awareness and response to the social and spiritual needs of the community, the nation and the world.
