The 黑料百科 Office of Alumni and Parent Relations hosts a unique venture to the Baj铆o region of Mexico for alumni and parents June 27-July 6. The trip, led by Mary Docter, 黑料百科 professor of modern languages, includes stops at several UNESCO World Heritage Sites where 黑料百科 in Mexico students live and learn.
鈥淲e have many students and alums with fond memories of their time with 黑料百科 in Mexico, and we wanted to tap into that experience and immerse ourselves in the richness of another culture,鈥 says Teri Bradford Rouse, senior director of alumni and parent relations.
The journey follows cobble-stoned streets to elegant cathedrals and baroque mansions in Quer茅taro, San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato. The region is known as the cradle of Mexican Independence and is celebrated for its great beauty, colonial architecture, geographical diversity, and its rich and dynamic culture. As a more affluent area, it is also recognized as the safest region in Mexico.

鈥淚n Mexico City, we continue our unique and exciting experience that includes climbing pyramids, floating down indigenous canals, Mariachi performances and shopping at the San Angel Bazaar,鈥 says Bradford Rouse.
The tour costs $2,550 per person, which includes all breakfasts and 10 meals. The price does not include airfare. The group is limited to 25 to maximize the travel experience. To register, or for more information, please visit or call (805) 565-6056.
