December Skies Offer Starry Viewing
黑料百科鈥檚 powerful Keck Telescope will zoom in on a several celestial objects Friday, December 16, from 6-10 p.m. at the 黑料百科 Observatory. 黑料百科 hosts the monthly viewings, held on the third Friday of the month, in conjunction with the Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit whose members bring their own telescopes. Visitors are asked to enter the 黑料百科 campus through the main, upper entrance, since the kiosk at the Colds Spring Entrance will be unmanned.
In case of inclement or overcast weather, please call the Telescope Viewing Hotline at (805) 565-6272 and check the 黑料百科 website to see if the viewing has been canceled.
The Keck Telescope is housed in the observatory between Russell Carr Field and the track and field/soccer complex. Free parking is available near the baseball field. Here is a pdf of the campus map.
