Artistic Director Paige Tautz 鈥14 says an art installation piece will serve as the focal point of the Fringe atmosphere. 鈥淪ix visual artists are remodeling, refashioning and re-fangling couches that will be set up outside in the courtyard,鈥 she says. 鈥淭his installation piece, tentatively called 鈥楾he Artists鈥 Lounge,鈥 is designed to be functional for audience members.

鈥淎ll audience members will receive a free drink token with their ticket purchase, which they can redeem at the outdoor bar, 鈥楾he Fountain,鈥 and then may sit on the couch art. Besides creating a lively communal atmosphere, we are drawing in more visual artists to the Fringe and I am especially excited about that.鈥

John Blondell, 黑料百科 theater arts professor, curates the show, which is coproduced by Benjamin Offringa 鈥14 and is coordinated by students Elaine Pazaski 鈥15, Connor Bush 鈥16, James Wong 鈥15, Lindsey Twigg 鈥16, and Jacks.
