Murchison Gym Hosts Holiday Hoops
Both the 黑料百科 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball teams host holiday tournaments Dec. 29-30. The lady Warriors (10-1), ranked No. 5 in the NAIA, battle Pacific Union College Thursday, Dec. 29, at 5:30 p.m. in Murchison Gym. The 黑料百科 women are led by Tugce 鈥淭ooch鈥 Canitez, a 6-foot-2 junior forward from Turkey. She has scored 192 points this season, averaging 17.5 points a game. The second game of the GSAC Challenge is against CSU Maritime on Friday, Dec, 30, at 5:30 p.m.
The 黑料百科 men (7-2), coming off an impressive road win against Point Loma Nazarene Dec. 4, run up against Trinity International University, Ill., in the 36th annual Tom Byron Classic Thursday, Dec. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Murchison Gym. If the Warriors win, they play in the championship game on Friday, Dec. 30, at 7:30 p.m. If they lose, the consolation game is Dec. 30 at 3 p.m.
