The orchestra celebrates President鈥檚 Day by performing at the fourth annual in Washington, D.C.
鈥淚鈥檓 most excited for the Santa Barbara performances because we鈥檙e bringing home our program from the Kennedy Center and the growth from our tour in Washington, D.C.,鈥 says Michael Shasberger, Adams professor of music and worship.

The repertoire features Richard Wagner鈥檚 鈥淥verture to Der Meistersinger鈥 and the first two movements of 鈥淪cheherazade鈥 by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
The orchestra also presents 鈥淰ariations on Themes of Haydn鈥 by Johannes Brahms that includes Hayden鈥檚 St. Martin鈥檚 Chorale.
鈥淭he theme of the concert could certainly be storytelling,鈥 Shasberger says. 鈥淔rom the tales of Sinbad the Sailor in 鈥楽cheherazade鈥 to the detailed intrigue of the comedic 鈥楳eistersinger,鈥 there are stories for everyone.鈥
