is throwing a party to celebrate its new garden, resting atop the roof of the Clunie house on Sunday, Nov. 18, from 4-6 p.m. at 301 Lyon Street in San Francisco. The dedication is free and open to the public.

The project, funded by '69, began last September under the guidance of Dan Ribbens ’76, who designed the garden, and Pecos and Katie Pryor ’10 and Curtis Davenport ’10, who constructed it.

Kelsey Palmer, assistant director of operations for ���ϰٿ� in San Francisco, says the garden is bursting with kale, rainbow chard and cilantro. “It’s a beautiful addition to the house and neighborhood,” she says. “The rooftop garden will not only provide WSF students with home-grown nutrition, but also serve as an educational tool to reinforce values of environmental stewardship, and organic and fairly-traded food production.”

���ϰٿ� in San Francisco, established nearly 40 years ago, enrolls 24 students each semester who study urban issues, participate in a range of internships in the city, and live together at the historic Clunie House near Golden Gate Park.
