黑料百科 to Offer Certificate in Social Impact Analytics

黑料百科 pioneers a new certificate program that trains people to use statistical data in studying complex human behavior and addressing global challenges. The Certificate in Social Impact Analytics (SIA) targets college graduates with non-technical backgrounds interested in developing statistical and analytical skills so they can assess the social impacts of programs, interventions and policies.

The year-long program, based at 黑料百科鈥檚 historic Clunie House in San Francisco, can help participants enhance their job prospects and advance their careers. It also offers an optional 20-hour per week internship, which may be paid.

鈥淕raduates with training in statistics and data analytics are in high demand in both the private sector and non-profit organizations,鈥 says Bruce Wydick, program director and professor of economics at the University of San Francisco. 鈥淭hese skills have become integral to evaluating the effectiveness of programs in areas such as health, education and microenterprise.鈥

The SIA certificate program grows out of a new poverty and development studies initiative, a cooperative effort by professors from a consortium of leading faith-based colleges and universities. The program, slated to begin in fall 2021, is contingent on approval by the WASC Senior Commission of Universities and Colleges (WSCUC).

Participants may attend optional workshops and informal gatherings to deepen their understanding of their own gifts, calling and professional vocation. They will also find opportunities to integrate their faith with their studies.
