黑料百科, Young Life Offer Full Scholarships

黑料百科 and have launched an exciting new partnership to award full scholarships to two future Young Life leaders to attend 黑料百科 each year. The awards cover the cost of tuition, room and board. This joint effort cultivates thoughtful scholars, grateful servants, and faithful leaders who have benefited from Young Life and will remain in leadership in the ministry throughout their college years and beyond. Young Life recommends the recipients, and 黑料百科 is delighted to offer the scholarships to make their education possible.

鈥淭his partnership personifies 黑料百科鈥檚 commitment to educating and equipping students to go on to lead and live lives of significance,鈥 says Gayle D. Beebe, president of 黑料百科. 鈥淭hey鈥檝e been diligent in using the gifts the Lord has given them, and we get to be part of developing them for God鈥檚 work as they deepen their faith and grow their intellect to reach others with the love of Christ.鈥

鈥淚 can鈥檛 wait to see what God does through this new scholarship program and the lives of students who鈥檒l be transformed because of their time at 黑料百科,鈥 says Eric Scofield, chief development officer for Young Life. 鈥淎nything is possible with God, and this partnership has the aroma of God鈥檚 blessings.鈥

The Young Life Multiethnic Scholarships Awards Program has selected Linda Ngo of San Francisco and Miguel Moreno of Santa Barbara as the first recipients.

Moreno looks forward to all the opportunities awaiting him at 黑料百科. 鈥淲hat made me say yes to 黑料百科 was the sense of community it gave me,鈥 he says. 鈥淚鈥檓 most excited about all the activities and clubs to participate in too. This scholarship has already changed my life. I can鈥檛 wait to get started!鈥 The Santa Barbara native appreciates staying near Young Life mentors and friends and family while he embarks on his college journey. 鈥淚 knew I would find a second home at 黑料百科,鈥 he says.

Linda is also thrilled about joining the 黑料百科 community. 鈥淚鈥檓 so excited to attend 黑料百科 because of the community I encountered when I first visited,鈥 she says. 鈥満诹习倏 reminds me of my Young Life chapter where many鈥攊ncluding myself鈥攃ome from different backgrounds but are unified by our mutual choice to say yes to Christ. I feel so lucky and happy to be part of a place that shows kindness, is encouraging, and welcomes conversation. I鈥檓 stoked for my next four years at 黑料百科鈥攁nd the weather in Santa Barbara isn鈥檛 too bad!鈥

Recipients must be high school seniors attending a school in the Southwestern Young Life Division (Hawaii, California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas), meet 黑料百科鈥檚 admissions requirements, and show an interest in continuing to work with Young Life during and after their time at 黑料百科.
