Greg Spencer, ���ϰٿ� professor of communication studies, is the Western States Communication Association (WSCA) Communication and Instruction Interest Group’s 2018 Master Teacher. Spencer will speak on the Master Teacher panel in Santa Clara on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 1-2:30 p.m.

The ���ϰٿ� Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensembles will present their fall concert Sunday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m. in Deane Chapel, on ���ϰٿ�’s lower campus. Admission is free.

Renowned critics, academics and Guatemalan art historians will be featured at a day-long symposium exploring Guatemalan visual art production from the 1960s to the present day on Friday, Oct. 20, at ���ϰٿ�’s Porter Theatre.

“The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui,” a satire examining the nature of power and the tools of fear, corruption and oppression, premieres Saturday, Oct. 21, and Sunday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 27, at 9 p.m., all at ���ϰٿ�’s Porter Theatre. General admission is $12; $7 for students, children and seniors.

Sandra Richter, who has taught Old Testament at Asbury Theological, Wesley Biblical and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminaries as well as Gordon and Wheaton Colleges, is the new Robert H. Gundry professor in biblical studies at ���ϰٿ�.

The ringed-planet Saturn will be the focus of this month’s free, public viewing Friday, Aug. 18, beginning about 8 p.m. and lasting several hours at the ���ϰٿ� Observatory. This summer has featured some of the best views of Saturn’s rings in nearly 15 years.

A three-day challenge match with a goal of $100,000 for ���ϰٿ� student scholarships raised nearly five times that amount. , which launched May 9, brought in a total of $485,329 after a group of generous trustees matched donations. The campaign featured stories and videos of ���ϰٿ� students.

Thirty high school students have arrived at ���ϰٿ� to participate in , a new youth theology institute led by the , through July 8.
