Tim Keith, a private equity investor based in New York and a partner in two green businesses, has joined the ���ϰٿ� Board of Trustees. He has served on ���ϰٿ�’s Board of Advisors since 2005, and he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and business at ���ϰٿ� in 1987.

Ronald J. Morgan, associate professor of history and director of ACU in Oxford for Abilene Christian University, talks about the spiritual transformations that can occur during off-campus programs in a free lecture and book signing Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 7-9 p.m. at Page Multipurpose Room.

Helen Sterk, professor of communication arts at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., will discuss “Gender Partnership: A Care Theory Perspective” Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. in Hieronymus Lounge inside ���ϰٿ�’s Kerrwood Hall. The Erasmus Society lecture is free and open to the public.

���ϰٿ� alumna Shauna (Hybels) Niequist ’98, author of “Cold Tangerines: Celebrating the Extraordinary Nature of Everyday Life,” will speak at chapel in ���ϰٿ�’s Murchison Gym Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 10:30 a.m. The talk is free and open to the public.

Baruch Maoz, an Israeli missionary, editor and publisher, talks about “An Israeli-Christian’s Perspective on Israel and Palestine” Tuesday, Sept. 14, from 4:45-6 p.m. in ���ϰٿ�’s Page Hall. The lecture, sponsored by the ���ϰٿ� Religious Studies Department, is free and open to the public.

Workers put finishing touches on two new buildings, Adams Center for the Visual Arts and Winter Hall for Science and Mathematics before students arrived for the fall semester. Faculty in four departments moved into their new offices in mid-August.

Tatiana Nazarenko, former dean of instruction and assessment liaison at Centralia College (Wash.), is ���ϰٿ�’s new dean of curriculum and educational effectiveness. Nazarenko’s predecessor, Professor Ray Rosentrater, will return to full-time teaching.

Santa Barbara County residents Kathy Clenet, Jacques Habra and Herb Tews have joined the ���ϰٿ� Foundation Board of Directors, which cultivates ties between ���ϰٿ� and the community.
